South Carolina Driver’s License Rules and Regulations
If you’re moving within South Carolina you’ll be obligated to change the address on your driver’s license within 10 days. If you’re moving to South Carolina you must apply to transfer your out of state license within 90 days of arrival. You will not need to take a written or skills test to transfer to a South Carolina license. You will, however, pass an eye exam. You must bring your birth certificate, social security card, proof of residence and insurance information when applying for a South Carolina driver’s license.
