Moves in Madison
Any flight portions of your move would go through Dane County Regional Airport. Otherwise, there are plenty of highways that your moving truck or van might take in Madison. Four U.S. Routes – the 12, 14, 18 and 151 -- pass through the city and lead off to Iowa and other parts of Wisconsin. The state capital forms the nexus of three interstate highways, the 39, 90 and 94, which go on to points in Illinois, Minnesota and elsewhere. A freeway called the Beltline has six to eight lanes and runs through the south and west parts of the metropolis and then into the suburbs.
Watch the Weather
Madison does get pretty cold in the winter, but don’t let that stop you from scheduling a move at that time. Just pay attention to the weather forecasts and that ought to help you plan how to pack and other logistical details. Advance planning will make the whole effort less stressful. I wish you the best of luck with moving!
