10 Things Fresno Moving Companies Won’t Tell You

With a location in central-south California and the 35th largest population in the United States, Fresno has a lot to offer culturally, economically and socially. And yet, despite the city’s innate charm and moderate climate, Fresno has some surprising secrets that you will want to know about before moving to your new city. Here are 13 things that your Fresno movers won’t tell you – but that you’ll probably want to know before you arrive.

1. The unemployment rate in Fresno is currently about 15.40% which is nearly double the national average unemployment rate (your Fresno movers, of course, are clearly employed, and wouldn’t want to point out the city’s economic hardships to its new residents).
2. Renting a 1-bedroom apartment in Fresno costs about $690/month, which is half the price of a comparable rental in San Jose (which is only 123 miles away). Still, if you’re not careful, your Fresno movers may charge you San Jose moving prices – so make sure to negotiate your moving quotes carefully.
