Perhaps the first thing that you’ll need to do to prepare for your move is to narrow down your options for Alabama moving services and find one that you’ll feel confident in trusting with your belongings. Unfortunately, Alabama does not have a centralized moving association through which you can find reputable Alabama movers. Getting Married in Alabama
Although moving to Alabama is not required in order to get married there, some counties require couples to be present in the state of Alabama for 3 days prior to applying for a marriage license. Once you’ve received the marriage license, however, there is no waiting period to get married. If you’re recently divorced, Alabama law requires that you wait 60 days before applying for a new marriage license. Cousin marriages are permitted in Alabama, but marriage by proxy is strictly prohibited.

As you will see, Alabama’s taxation is dramatically different from states such as Arizona which operate a more obvious sliding scale. Most residents of Alabama will be required to pay the maximum income tax.
Alabama has a state sales tax of 4% plus local tax in every municipality, which can total up to 12% of any given purchase price. Although this may not affect your Alabama moving plans, you may want to take into account that 12% is a relatively high sales tax, and to consider moving to areas with lower local taxes.
